This bus was purchased from the City of Seattle. I picked this bus up in Seattle and drove it back to California. Now this bus had been very good with no more than usual maintenance. I did change the front shocks which were wrong to begin with and replaced them with Delco to restore the smooth ride these buses exhibited when new. Also, I made modification to the transmission, converting it to an air shifter type. These were the first production buses with the 8V71 Detroit. They were also the first with the 3 speed VS-8 transmissions but came with the cable shifting mechanism used on the older models. These buses were hard to get into gear, especially when cold. I installed an air shifter but used the original selector on the floor next to the driver. This way it looked originial but actually was an updated air shifter.

Fun Fleet Bus #732 was always a good runner and gave us no trouble once the aforementioned conversions were done.
I sold #732 to bus fan, James Guardo of Idaho. He keeps this historic bus in my yard and we do regular maintenance on it. Check its progress on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyApLIyYvdI&list=PL9HVGkM-tNZFoNrF10Hw5p32vNHFEBFph
